Buildings are one of the greatest energy consumers in our society. Between 30 and 40 per cent of total Danish energy consumption is used for heating, ventilation and lighting in building.
Energy labelling and eco-design requirements are introduced in order to reduce the energy consumption of appliances and products.
Even though energy consumption in the public sector has been reduced in many areas through a systematic approach over the past years, even more savings can be made.
Production Industries – Industry and Agriculture – are responsible for 26% of Danish Energy Consumption
Energy savings should contribute to growth and commercial development, retention of a high degree of supply reliability and solution of global environmental problems.
