The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) is the supervising authority on health and safety matters regarding offshore installations on the Danish Continental Shelf.

The environmental requirements to be met on an offshore installation are primarily regarding discharges to the air and the sea and on design in order to observe the principle of using the Best Available Techniques to reduce harmful environmental impacts.

Monthly drilling overviews, production data and seismic surveys

The Danish subsoil is used for more than just the production of oil and gas. The subsoil is used to extract salt and geothermal heat and to store natural gas, and also the potential future use for storage of CO2.

The report “Denmark's Oil and Gas Production and Subsoil Use” gives an overview of the activities in the oil and gas sector and uses of the Danish subsoil other than oil and gas activities. Download the report at this page.
