Renewable energy
Denmark is a country with a long expirience within renewable energy. Energy from renewable sources is CO2 neutral, because it, opposit fossil based energy sources, doesn't cause CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.
Denmark has a long experience in wind power and it plays an important role in the DK electricity supply. The development in wind power has since the beginning of the 1980's, and in particular within the last 10-15 years, been rapid.
Wave power plants is a promising, but yet immature technology for renewable electricity. Denmark is hosting four demonstration plants at sea based on different concepts and is thereby positioned in the top 5 among development countries in the world.
Biomass is the collective term for all the organic substance which is formed by plant photosynthesis with the sun as an energy source.
