Wind Power
Denmark has a long experience in wind power and it plays an important role in the DK electricity supply. The development in wind power has since the beginning of the 1980's, and in particular within the last 10-15 years, been rapid.

The Danish Energy Agency is competent authority for DK offshore wind power projects. Besides approval of new projects, continuous work is carried out on environmental impacts and future locations.
Regulations on technical requirements for wind turbines, grid connection and subsidies for wind power are managed by the Danish Energy Agency under the Ministry of Climate and Energy.
