Companies subject to the EU Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) is committed to emission reduction targets, and ETS companies can apply the Kyoto Protocol’s flexible mechanisms to meet a part of the reduction targets.
The Danish Energy Agency is happy to make its JI/CDM expertise and experience available for companies subject to the EU Emission Trading Scheme. The generated CO2 credits have to be registered in the Danish Emission Trading Registry under the Danish Energy Agency and can hereafter be traded equally to traditional CO2-allowances.
