Participation in International Climate Projects

The Danish Energy Agency guides Danish companies who wish to develop or invest in climate projects under the Kyoto Protocol’s flexible mechanisms; Joint Implementation (JI) and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

The Danish Energy Agency looks upon JI/CDM projects as a profitable partnership between project host, project developer, technology supplier, host country and the Danish state. Project hosts and project developers achieve a higher return on their investments and technology suppliers gain access to new markets. The host country benefits from new technology and gets support to sustainable development and the Danish state attains credits that contribute to meet the national reduction commitments under the Kyoto Protocol.

The Danish Energy Agency guides Danish companies who wish to participate in the development of JI and CDM projects.
