Installations covered by the Danish CO2 Allowances Act must have their CO2 reporting plans and its basis verified by a independent body.
To be able to verify emissions from installations, which are under the Danish CO2 allowances Act, the verifier (the independent body) has to be accredited by the Danish national accreditation body, DANAK or another foreign national accreditation body, which is a signatory to the multilateral agreement of the European co-operation organisation for accreditation bodies, EA, for the relevant field on mutural acceptance.
