Campaign funds for promoting energy savings in buildings

As part of the energy agreement from February 2008, it has been decided to allocate funds for campaigns to promote energy savings in buildings.

An annual sum of DKK 20 million is to be allocated in the period 2008-2011 to campaigns to promote energy savings in buildings, and following this an annual sum of DKK 5-10 million will be allocated. Of the DKK 20 million, approximately DKK 10 million per year will go to a knowledge centre for energy savings in buildings. The rest of the pool must be spent on a subsidy scheme for information and campaign activities.

The Danish Energy Agency administers the funds used for campaigns.  Funding will be given to projects that focus on energy labelling and building regulation energy requirements. Funding is allocated as a subsidy scheme once or twice a year when there is a call for applications in special programme areas or through larger call for tenders.
