Applications concerning field development plans are processed
according to Danish Law and puplished in national newspapers.
Applications concerning development of
oil and gas fields in Denmark are processed by The Danish Energy
Agency according to §10 in the Danish subsoil Act.
A development application must be accompanied by or relate to a
report handling the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
Once a decision has been made by the Danish Energy Agency,
information about the decision must be published in national
newspapers. The public comment period is four weeks.
Any party having a substantial and individual interest in the
decision may file an appeal with the Energy Board of Appeal against
the environmental issues relating to any such decision.
An approved application can not be
used before the public comment period of four weeks has
passed.
