Based on the assessment of reserves, the Danish Energy Agency prepares production forecasts for the recovery of oil and natural gas in the next five and 20 years, respectively.
The forecasts uses the same categorization as the assessment of reserves, and includes the categories ongoing, approved, planned and possible recovery.
Fields are incorporated into the production forecast from the time production startup is approved or from the earliest date on which production can be commenced.
