Besides the Danish Energy Agency there are a range of other
authorities who supervise health, safety and environment on
offshore installations. The most important are - together with the

Occupational health and safety, working environment and safety
matters related to the construction and operation of offshore
production installations.
Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
Danish Maritime Authority (DMA)
Construction, strength, bouyancy, maritime design and equipment on
mobile offshore drilling units and other mobile offshore
units.
Arrangement of the sick bay on mobile offshore units, including
medicine stocks.
Life saving appliances and their launching equipment on offshore
installations.
Diving operations including diving equipment and professional
diving operations.
Danish Environmental Protection Agency (DEPA)
Discharge to the sea from offshore installations.
Emergency plans in case of spills from the offshore
installations.
The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration
Food safety.
National Board of Health (NBH)
Education of medics.
Design of the sick bay and equipment on fixed offshore
installations.
