6th Danish Licensing Round

The 20th of May 2005 the Danish Energy Authority published the conditions for the 6th Danish Licensing Round of areas for exploration and production of oil and gas in the North Sea. Oil companies were invited to apply for licences for exploration for and production of hydrocarbons west of 6° 15' eastern longitude, i.e. the Central Graben and adjacent areas. The application deadline was 1 November 2005.

At the application deadline 17 applications had been received. 20 oil companies participated in the applications. 

As a result of the 6th Licensing Round Minister of Transport and Energy was able to grant 14 new licences on 22 May 2006.
