Wind Power
Facts about Wind Power
Denmark has more than 5000 wind turbines. In 2008 wind turbines accounted for almost 20 per cent of domestic electricity supply.
In the summer of 2008, the level of support for electricity produced from wind turbines was increased. The subsidy varies depending on a number of factors such as the size of the turbine and time of connection to the grid.
Before you can erect your wind turbine, it must be approved under the technical certification scheme, which is managed by the Energy Agency’s Secretariat for the Danish Wind Turbine Certification Scheme.
