Denmark has more than 5000 wind turbines. In 2013 wind turbines accounted for almost 30 per cent of domestic electricity supply.

According to the Danish Register of wind turbines, as of the end of July 2014 there were 5.252 wind turbines in Denmark with an installed wind capacity of 4.855 MW, offshore wind power accounting for 1.271 MW. 

In 2013, wind power production accounted for almost 30 % of domestic electricity supply and wind turbines produced 9466 GWh electricity.
