Domestic Climate Projects

Domestic Climate Projects will contribute to Denmark’s compliance with international emission reduction targets. The projects aim at sectors that are not covered by the European quota trading system.

The amount of emissions reduced by a Domestic Climate Project will, when conducted and approved, be bought by the Danish state at a price determined in advance. Thus, the reductions will contribute to the fulfillment of Denmark’s Kyoto targets.

On the pages below you will find background information on the development of Domestic Climate Projects. Furthermore you can access information about the pilot project chosen to be developed as a Domestic Climate Projects.
